Change is good for a change

Well I've used linux before. But as many other users will find, linux tends not to play nice with odd hardware.
When you take that in mind, and the fact I have 3-4 year old laptop hardware, you'll see where this has gone before with distro's like gentoo.
However I recently swapped over to ubuntu. And it plays nice with my laptop :D
So you never know, might be able to squeeze out some linux based stuff soon :)

In other news:
No real work has been done on anything, however all my exams are done now :D So I have a bit more free time.
Though I do now have computing and electronics coursework on the go.

Anyway, will blog more later!

Back to my old ways

Yup, sorry to say that.
But I'm back to my usual not-working-on-delta-cms and not-posting-so-often ways again >.<
I've got exams for the next few days, and then the joys of coursework after that :( So it might be a while yet till I can start doing some proper work again.
I think next on my agenda is delta cms really.
That or swapping over to boastmachines for the rest of my blogging days till I make delta cms.
Not too sure yet though.

Other project idea's are always welcome though, so do tell me if you have any interesting projects lined up!

Shoutboxes in v1.0

Yup, you heard it here...second!
Well the new version has quite a few nifty features like a history system and optional shadows on text in the shoutbox.
It also has a new look to the actual shoutbox, which is now full customisable and bug free ^^
The source is all pretty, and the outputted source is fully valid XHMTL 1.0 strict and RSS 2.0.

There is also a new guide. It's huge! Very in-depth and covers pretty much everything you could think of.

You can get the new shoutbox here: http://code.google.com/p/freepss/
And the new guide is here: http://www.howtousea.com/shoutbox

New stuff!

Well my VB stuff is...well...vb.
So it sucks.
In the mean time you can have an old b3ta VB creation I did: Tennis For Two.
However me and Phil have done some work on the next release of the shoutbox. It looks ace so far and has lots of improvements and bug fixes. Should be pretty stable now.
Also, new open source project! Nothing fancy, just questbars. But uber simple :)
Grab your own here!

And still the work continues

Well I've mainly been updating my scripts to work with this server for the past few days now.
Everything is done apart for the gaia bars, which will be lots of effort, and I'm lazy :D
Also did some VB work recently :S Not very fun, but I made a data-sorter-outer for my computing project. Works quite well so I might shove it up here for those with iffy data.
Been working on the 'holy cross' release of the shoutbox too. Phil updated the google project page and I've made some new features and options.
Still lots left to do yet though.

I'll post more when I've got it, in the mean time check the "HowToUseA" link on the right, go read/post some guides people!

Whey! Palmnet is back online and feeling...a little queasy.

Palmnet is back online.
It's taken a lot of work, and much copying of files, but it's finally back and online.
Now on Xilo.net's servers.
It took so long because there were problems with the old ETG hosting, and they couldn't move my data, so I've had to do it all by hand ¬_¬
Anyway, it's back, and I have lots of work to do to make it work again as Xilo are real twunts with their setup :(

Site down...new server soon...updates

Well you may have noticed the site has been down the past 2 or 3 days. I'm not sure why yet, no news at all.
The site went down on the 2nd due to high server load caused by another person on the server, but who knows why it went down after that.
Anyway, good news is that we're back up now, and I didn't end up losing all my data!
Continuing the server related news, PWnet host may be swapping to a different company because, well, etglobalsolution.co.uk really suck. What with all this downtime, and they have really bad support. So off we head to another host! Hopefully I should be able to keep the site up and running over the time with little downtime and no data loss.

Also, lot's of business and hype has been surrounding the shoutbox code over the past week or so. It's shot from a very simple script at v0.4zeta to a rather complex but still easy to use, and fully feature packed, script at v0.5.3
You can download this Here and give it a go or click the 'shoutbox' link on the right to see it in action.
