Well, as the title suggests, I have made some new craptastic games for y'all!
Bees:
This is a small game where a swarm of bee's are after your precious honey.
You have to....well actually, there is no point what so ever to this 'game' per se. However, you can move the mouse, to which the honey pot is attached to via a form of elastic, away from the bees. Or keep it still and watch the bee's swarm around it.

Space invaders:
Mr. Cosnett told me to make a Space Invaders clone a while back when I stated my level of mental stimulation was coming to an all time low.
It started out well, but then the code started getting hard, and I got bored with it again!
So here is a very poor clone. You can move, fire and the aliens will move and such, but yet to implement the bunkers or the aliens firing back.
Maybe another day...

Other news
Well, I have a new server running off my php, and getting to grips with some trixey PHP with php5, and also some rather cool ways to interact with databases. So I might be able to knock out a few more random php-based tools too!
Might also start work again on the shoutboxes, don't really know. I'll have to have a conference with Phil to discuss the idea's, plans and of course, the design.
Craptastic games time!

Yes, thats right folks!
You heard it here first: Palmnet is making stuff, and soon to be posting stuff.
After a longer period that I'd hoped I've finally gotten back into the swing of coding. Mostly down to the computing project I've started work on.
So I will soon be shoving a small tool that I'm making to use in college that's a very basic interpreted language IDE. So far it supports Python, Ruby and PHP, with very basic features like....Saving files!
Also I'll put 'Rydian's Tool' up here too I guess. Seems you guys are hankering after some random tools, well now they're all yours
Rydian's tool, so named as I made it for my good friend Rydian, is basically a little program to sit in the system tray until you click it, when it gives you a custom list of things to copy to the clipboard.
Very handy if you use lots of custom smilies on forums, as was Rydian's needs, but also handy for using is you repeatedly type things like HTML out.
Both programs need more work done to them, and more work is too much work for me really. However, there might be more in the pipeline:
+ Full todo system
+ Shoutbox update
+ Basic web server
+ Maybe some palmnet arty stuffs?
+ Startup of the Palmnet Records site
+ Lots more!
Also, in case you are baffled by these new tools, I'll be using HowToUseA.com for all the documentation any of my programs need.
In other news;
I was messing about in flash today, made a little tool to get you any score you want on a flash games leader board. But thats a nawty tool and thus not for the public! (Unless you ask nice)
Might play more and make more flashy stuffs.
Questbar system is now quite well used since the swap to open source
HowToUseA.com's guide to search engine use has been updated with all sorts of new nifty trix.
Going to try update some of my old stuff and release it here too. Have many old games and toys to amuse and confuse.
About all news really. If you want to check out what I'm upto shoot me an email/PM or leave a summary in my Shoutbox.
Will blog more often...promise!

And so the work starts...

Well as the title suggests I'm starting to do some work.
Who would have thought!
Firstly the next version of the shoutboxes is on my list, alongside my computing project for college of course.
Then after that I've been playing with Ruby and C in Linux, quite fun. Might squeeze out a program or two.
Other than that it's just my usual tools I've been tinkering with. All good fun and games, might tart them up and shove them out the door for you guy's, but most are in quite a sorry state at the moment.
Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention Wim.
Yes, the guy who made most of this blog system has his own blog running nanoblog v2 which is a ruby based system.
He recently wrote a great article on combining C with Ruby. And he got quite a bit of fame from it!
He was on hundreds of unique visitors per day, and even hit the front of del.ico.us, So go pay his blog a visit and happy reading ^^
