College work: Almost done!

Okay, well I have almost finished my courseworks. Physics is done, handed in and been sent off. Electronics is almost done so far as the building aspect goes, Here's some nice pictures of it for you though:
Circuit so far in my tray of thingumybobs Design for the first 2 sub systems of my project Design for the last sub system of my project

And computing is far from done. But I have 2 weeks off for easter as of tomorrow evening :D Here is a small selection from this folder of screenshots I've started to amass:
The projects homepage A very small section of the back end code The tests available to me during testing Me taking a fun filled Physics test The back end database, users table structure

Anyway, I'll hopefully get all that out the way soon and be back on track again in no time :)

Palmnet 2.0 is out!

Yup, that's right. The next version of Palmnet has hit the shelves. So far it isn't much, but it's a start. It's going to be a long haul till I get everything sorted out, but it shouldn't be too long. So far the main homepage is done, the games sub-domain is done, this blog is half done, and the rest is on the way. Anyway, got to get back to work to finish this site!

Animated google themes

Animated Google theme
Here is a little animation made up of all the separate images for the times of day for the "Tea House" Google theme.

New blog system

Well, as I'm sure you can all see, I've finally switched to the BoastMachine blog system over NanoBlog. NanoBlog has served me well, for over a year now I've updated it, secured it and tweaked it to a very smooth system. However, BoastMachine has more features and it's better to fit in with my new plans for Palmnet. All to be revealed soon. Anyway, off to bed for now, but will try fix this system up a bit more tomorrow if I can.

Google themes!

Damn right.
Just went to my homepage and Google have released a new feature!
Themes for the Google homepage.
And it's kinda nifty.

It's basically the same old Google, but now its got a header/footer image, and changes the borders to its homepage content objects.
It also changes due to weather conditions in your local area, and the time of day too.

Anyway, nothing else new, just thought it was cool!

College work

Shocking as it may sound, I have actually been busy doing my college work!

My Physics is now done and dusted :)
My Electronics...I've just started >.<
And Computing...well...what can I say :D
It's a damned tasty project.

For a sneak peek: http://computing.palmnet.me.uk/

It's an educational test system done mostly in PHP.
However tonight I almost finished one of my more tasty of the 2(so far) VB programs that are incorporated into my project.
Screenshots I hear you cry!
Why of course, but just the one:
Click here. It's rather a large one!

I'll try upload some more screenshots of the main system, and more of my sexy VB app :)

Mid day post

Not much news, but I'm home doing, well, not all that much really. Though if you're my mum or one of my teachers, I'm doing lots of college work :)

Anyway, questbars just hit 2000 hits. This second thousand came a lot quicker than the first, so thats a good sign ^^
Might even do some updates to it later if I can, see if I can start a system with accounts like the old one. But keeping this one free and open source :3

Also, college work is going kinda well. Still learning cool new stuff with PHP every time I do something with my college project, so that must be a sign I'm improving :D

Hopefully going to be able to get some work done on the new shoutboxes soon. Thinking about trying a new approach, but thats still only an idea in my head so far.

Oh, and I might be making a few little tools in vb again, have to make 2 programs in vb to interface with my computing project.
Should be....fun :S
Well, hopefully any other little tools and games will be :D

...Phil says hi.

Quest bars

Well the questbars has now had over 1000 hits in about 3 weeks.
Not to bad considering I don't advertise them!

Just thought I'd say woo here!

QTR - new tool!

Thats right. A new tool!
From me.
Palmer, the one of PlamNet fame.
I did something...!!Shock!!

Anyway, it's called the QTR, short for 'Quick Text Replacement'.
I say it's a new tool, well actually it's a month or two old now. It used to be "Rydians tool" or "Task bar emote tool", but I have since done an uber update to the look, and added a major new function: In-line replacement.

Yup, thats right. It will now replace words as your fingers leave the keyboard!
It basically waits until you hit space, and if the word you typed before is a match to an item on the list you can custom define, it'll replace it with whatever you want to replace it with.

So I included some basic grammatical errors and their counterpart replacements. Now, if I have auto replace turned on, it'll replace the letter 'i' with 'I'. Very handy I think you'll find!

You can set a list of words to swap, but take heed that it will only swap over single words. Any spaces and it wont work right!
So words like "hello" to "Hello world!" are ok, but you can't have "Hello world!" to "hello" because of the space.

Anyway, enough jabbering, here it is: http://www.palmnet.me.uk/uploads/QTR.zip

There is also an easter egg too! See if you can find it. Hint: Can't use spaces, and I'm so lazy I shorten 'easter' to 'e'
